The State Duma adopts a bill on telemedicine

The document was considered in the third reading on July 24. MPs agreed with amendments accepted in the second reading and sent the bill for approval to the Federation Council. If Council members have no questions regarding the law, it will be sent to the President for signing. n, the document will come into force. It is expected to happen on January 1, 2018, according to Interfax.

By the way, the bill was sent for consideration to the State Duma this spring. Since then, the document has been repeatedly changed. Its latest version suggests the establishment of Russia’s single healthcare system. Besides, doctors will get the right to provide patients with remote advice and write out e-prescriptions. However, health professionals are not allowed to make a diagnosis before a personal examination.
