In order for patients and their relatives to be able to consider all risks and make a decision, the USA has started developing mutual decision-making tools that will take into account unique factors.

The biggest US clinics – Mayo and Nationwide Children’s Hospital – have developed mobile software helping doctors and relatives to agree on the treatment course.    

Chest Pain Choice application is the result of collaboration between Mayo and patient advisory group. It includes the whole information regarding chest discomfort symptoms. According to statistics, it allowed to reduce the amount of daily conducted analysis.      

And the Nationwide Children’s Hospital can be proud of the Patient Activation Tool application. It allows to conduct a survey among the youngest clients and their parents. The application asks questions regarding preferences, interests and patient hospitalization requests.
