Telemedicine platform to be established in Russia

Rostelecom and Lomonosov Moscow State University are working on the telemedicine platform in Russia. It will help to automate remote medical care. 130mln roubles (approx. 1,8mln US dollars) are invested into the project.

This solution will significantly improve monitoring of physiological conditions of Russian citizens.

Such medical processes as diagnosis, monitoring of chronic diseases and recovery period control will be transferred online. Telemedicine platform will greatly simplify mentioned processes and provide emergency meeting of different field physicians to discuss health assistance for a patient.

According to statistics, such fields as pathology, dermatology, psychology and radiology are the most prospective on the telemedicine market.

When hospitals can’t manage with a huge amount of both out-patients and in-patients, innovations should help healthcare professionals to provide advice to clients.
