The healthcare sector is one of the leaders in integrating innovative technologies. IT companies offer more and more solutions for medicine. The IBM corporation has especially succeed in this issue.
The company has developed a unique cognitive service – IBM Watson, equipped with an AI system. It can process huge amounts of data, find solutions to maintain human health and diagnose diseases. This is the first cognitive system understanding the human speech and texts in Russian, capable of making hypotheses, self-learning and personalizing its answers.
The array of solutions that have been developed with the Watson technology is quite impressive. The product provided a basis for such projects as Watson Content Analytic (data analytics), Watson for Oncology (selection of customized treatment plans), Watson for Genomics (studying the human genes).
