The development of telemedicine has greatly facilitated the rehabilitation of patients undergoing surgery. Today, they can easily access information about their treatment and doctors can timely track changes in the health status of patients and the process of their recovery.
New technologies especially help children who are going through a difficult moral and physical path of surgical interventions. How does telemedicine help them in their rehabilitation after surgery?
Irina Kargalskaya, Head of the Patient-Oriented Telemedicine Committee at the All-Russian Union of Patients will talk about this on September 28 at M-Health Congress 2021. She will make a presentation on the telerehabilitation of children who have undergone severe surgical treatment.
Irina is the Executive Director at the Association of Oncological Rehabilitation Specialists, holding the position of Technical Director at Onconet project. The platform was developed by Zdravstvuy – Association of Cancer Patients together with the All-Russian Union of Patients and is used for remote monitoring of cancer patients after conservative treatment and anticancer therapy.
The speaker is a member of the Association for the Development of Medical Information Technologies and National Medical Knowledge Base.
